The NW100

Dear North West 100 Member;

Things are happening at a rapid pace for the NW100 and communication seems to be the toughest hurdle for the group to over-come at this point. In the three months that have passed since our last Customer Appreciation Event we have had two Open Houses and have most recently begun an NW100 “Change for Change” fund raiser to benefit CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). We have also been doing regular radio spots on KVNI AM1080 for a short time now, among many other things.

If you haven’t been to the radio station to record your 30 second commercial, or you haven’t taken your turn for the 5 minute live interview…then you are missing out on another tremendous opportunity to promote your business. If you need help creating your ad or you need specifics in reserving a time at the radio station etc. — Please, contact Evelyn Bevacqua, Sara Merrill, Scott Ross, John Hoffman or any other advisory panel member. Another great bonus of your membership is that we are ALL willing to help one another. ?

As mentioned above, we have also begun collecting spare change at our places of business. This is seen as a win-win opportunity for the NW100 and its members. The first beneficiary of the NW100 Change for Change drives is CASA. CASA is a non-profit organization here locally in North Idaho. They help provide a voice for children who are victims of child abuse and neglect. I think you’ll agree it is a good cause. As stated above, CASA is the first of what will hopefully be many different recipients of NW100 fund raisers. We have spoken to both the CDA Press and the KXLY Broadcasting Group who have each agreed to allow us to place our collection bottles in their lobbies. Moreover, they both have agreed to help us out with extra media in the way of a news story and radio mentions. We are all linked to this fundraiser directly with our membership in the NW100. This type of feel good association marketing can be very valuable in today’s market place. The goal is to raise $2000 for CASA. If you would like to place a collection bottle in your lobby or know of another business that might want to participate…. Please contact one of the aforementioned persons in this letter for assistance.

The interest in the NW100 is growing and we are now experiencing lead generation and sharing within the group. Many of you who have attended the Open Houses and meetings have had the opportunity to begin forging relationships and have also begun doing business with one another. This is just another of the many benefits of your membership to the NW100. If you have not attended the last couple Open Houses then you are certainly missing out on an opportunity to commune with some nice local business folks that want to do business with you. Remember, we were all ‘hand-picked’. Your being invited into the group should be seen as a compliment and as an opportunity to do business with the other businesses in the group.

We hope to see you at the next Customer Appreciation Party which will be at the Greenbriar Inn on Monday September 28^th @ 5:30PM – KVNI is scheduled to be on location and on the air live at our event in order to promote the CASA fund raiser and give NW100 businesses the opportunity to talk about their business on air!

Also, Greenbriar Inn will be having some great drink specials. Remember to bring two give-aways and two guests.

The give-aways can be anything from a $5 coffee card or an item from your business. Movie passes, gift baskets, or anything that doesn’t cost more than about twenty dollars that you might like to receive. Chances are if you would enjoy receiving it, so will someone else.
